Mouthanna is an award winning film and television editor who is passionate about long and short form storytelling.

A creative and technically experienced senior editor, Mouthanna has edited feature and short films of various genres and styles.  He combines a strong and imaginative visual and dramatic sense of storytelling, the ability to create rhythm, pace and tension; ensuring that the narrative flows effortlessly, impacting the audience both emotionally and intellectually.

Amongst his accolades include wins for Best Drama Short at the New York Film Festival, Audience award at BFI’s NEHEMI festival and Princess Diana Anti-Bullying Awards.  Mouthanna’s work has also been nominated for Best Micro Feature at Raindance film festival, Best Feature Film at Gulf Film Festival, Best Feature at Rory Peck Awards, Audience Best Drama at Manhattan Film Festival and Best Drama at Limelight Film and Art Awards.

He has also edited documentaries, which have been broadcast on international channels including the BBC, Al-Jazeera, and Abu Dhabi TV.

His promos and commercials work includes clients such as Google, Kellogg’s, McDonalds, Save the Children, Stylist Pick, England Athletics, SABIC, ZADCO, Mubadala and Masdar.

Mouthanna holds a Master’s degree in film editing from Goldsmiths, University of London and is a board member of the British Film and Television Editors Guild, GBFTE.
